We aren’t particularly new here, but I don’t think we’ve ever officially met. Here at Gossamer, we’re on a mission to capture complex emotions through play. We believe that games are an inherently empathetic and expressive art form that has the potential to create lasting gameplay experiences that let us see the world in a different light.
Gossamer formed around November 2014 through the Entrepreneurial Game Studio at Drexel University. Inspired by the revolution of mainstream independent game development, our original goal was to explore the untapped potential of mobile games as emotional gameplay experiences. Having grown up on games from thatgamecompany, Plastic, and Playdead, we saw tremendous potential in designing similar aesthetic-driven games for mobile platforms.
And after 2 long years of pre-production, we finally came up with our first crack at this. Much more on that soon!
